The Program Excellence Award stands as one of the highest distinctions bestowed upon Skilled and Technical Sciences programs in Nebraska. This honor recognizes exemplary contributions to the profession, exceptional commitment to student learning, and the advancement of high-quality STS education across the state.

Award recipients receive public recognition at the Annual Nebraska Career Education Conference, where they are formally honored and presented with an engraved plaque commemorating their achievement.

This scholarship is awarded to a pre-service Skilled and Technical Sciences educator who plans to complete student teaching in Nebraska. It is designed to provide practical financial support during the transition from college coursework to the demands of student teaching.

Any pre-service educator enrolled in an accredited Skilled and Technical Sciences preparation program in Nebraska is eligible to apply. The scholarship is awarded each year at the Nebraska Career Education Conference, during the first week of June.

The recipient will be notified at least one month before the conference and is expected to attend in person to accept the award. The scholarship amount will be up to $500.
